Medical Science Liaison In Pediatric Headache

The MSL is a remote role, focused on developing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with key medical experts in the neurology sector with an emphasis on the treatment of headache. The MSL will collaborate with targeted healthcare providers to drive awareness and education on the clinical efficacy and safety of Nerivio.

Position Description

    General Experience:

  • 5-10 Years of demonstrated medical sales success.
  • Large territory management.
  • High Business Acumen, forecasting, territory planning.
  • First-in-Category medical sales experience.
  • Early-stage-company experience.
  • Payor, insurance, reimbursement knowledge.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Function as the subject matter expert on the Nerivio product benefits to health care providers and internal teams.
  • Build, cultivate, and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts in the neurology and headache treatment community.
  • Support the medical community with up-to-date medical information, robust disease expertise, and product information while educating healthcare professionals on information related to Theranica product(s).
  • Ensure the appropriate dissemination of transparent, fair-balanced scientific and clinical information, knowledge, and services in a timely, compliant, ethical and customer-focused manner for information related to Theranica product(s).
  • Communicate and reinforce the clinical utility of Nerivio. Serve as scientific peer-to-peer resource to external disease experts and internal stakeholders.
  • Generate tactical regional plans to provide needs based, value-added support of the medical and scientific community in-line with company goals.
  • Assist the Head, US Medical Affairs, and other members of the Medical Affairs organization (e.g., MSLs) as is appropriate, with establishing and achieving medical affairs-related strategic goals and objectives.
  • Attend, lead, contribute to, and provide scientific support at national, regional, and local medical conferences and meetings.
  • Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy-aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference setting interactions.
  • Identify and recruit physicians and other healthcare providers as KOLs for Theranica’s products.
  • Provide clinical support through oral presentations, clinical result data reviews, and interactive resolution of clinician queries.
  • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in company products and relevant disease states.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of MSL related activities.
  • Engage in continued independent learning within the therapeutic area.
  • Adherence to all company regulatory and compliance policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Healthcare professional with background in a commercial life sciences sector.
  • Advanced clinical/science degree or health care professional credentials required (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in MSL role, field based.
  • Prior experience in the pediatric neurology segment required (Epilepsy, Migraine/Headache, Developmental disorders, Neuromuscular disorders, sleep disorders, etc).
  • Well-established networks and active relationships with KOLs in the pediatric neurology community preferred.
  • Have current knowledge & full understanding of all relevant industry, legal, and regulatory compliance guidelines and demonstrate ability to work compliantly in a field-based role, within the medical affairs organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation) with the ability to effectively communicate with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to comprehensively understand and review clinical details/results with health care providers.
  • Experience in early growth stage organizations a plus.
  • Organized, efficient, high-energy, willing for extensive travel.
  • Detail conscious and results oriented.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel, both air and ground, at least 50%, including overnight travel (including some weekends for conference coverage).
  • Must live within the assigned region. Regional coverage may vary and includes large geographies.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
